As Carter’s parents reflect, they remember enrolling him in Rick and Luann’s YHC Baseball Camp at a young age because they trusted it would be a positive and encouraging environment. Through those camps, Carter learned to stay focused on his goals by interacting with players and coaches who modeled not only the kind of athlete he wanted to become, but the kind of person as well. They truly believe those early experiences helped shape his path—both on the field and in life. That journey ultimately led him to finish his baseball career at Auburn University, where the Lord worked powerfully in his heart.
During his time at Auburn, Carter came to know Jesus Christ and made a personal profession of faith—the greatest “win” of his entire journey. They remain deeply grateful for the steady, Christ-centered influence Rick and Luann provided during those formative years.
