From 2006–2010, Rick and Luann built and directed a two-track summer camp model that intentionally developed both discipleship and leadership. Kids ages 6–12 were immersed in multi-sport experiences that encouraged them to try something new, alongside worship, Bible small groups, large-group games, and crafts—creating a supportive environment for every personality and learning style. In parallel, students ages 13–17 participated in a Leadership Training Camp, serving the younger campers while receiving targeted training through breakout sessions, camp operations responsibilities, and Bible group assistant leadership.

Each year featured a new theme under one overarching purpose: “Cross Training for Christ”—forming young hearts through biblical truth, values, and virtues, while equipping emerging leaders to serve with confidence, humility, and Gospel-centered purpose. With teachers, coaches, and local pastors leading the way, camp became a safe place to grow, lead, and encounter Jesus.
