Hildale, Utah is where my faith became real. Serving there under Rick in 2021 is when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior, and I can honestly say my life was forever changed.
Since then, I’ve returned every summer, and I’ve watched God do something incredible—bringing healing and hope to a community that has experienced real pain. Little by little, I’ve seen this place move toward flourishing, and I know it’s because the Lord is at work there.
Through basketball camp, craft camp, service projects, Fourth of July events, and all the hikes through Zion National Park, God has taught me so much. He has shown me how big He is—how He provides in ways I could never plan—yet at the same time, how deeply personal He is. Every summer I return, I sense Him asking me to pause and notice what He has accomplished since the last time I was there. And I am genuinely amazed by the change.
Serving with Stand With Purpose has shown me how God uses organized mission teams to communicate something simple but powerful: you are loved, you are seen, and you are a beloved child of God. Watching that happen has strengthened my own relationship with the Lord. It reminds me that God isn’t distant—He desires closeness with His children.
