Gospel Impact

Taylor’s Story

When I first went to Hildale, I thought I was going to serve other people. I never expected God to use the community and my experience there to change my heart so deeply. I went believing I would make an impact on others, but I quickly realized God was using Hildale to make an impact on me.

I have seen firsthand how the love of Jesus brings healing, redemption, and hope into people’s lives. I have witnessed God working in ways I could never have imagined or accomplished on my own. Seeing people experience the true love of Christ has reminded me that the Gospel is not simply something we know or talk about—it is something that changes lives.

Serving with Stand With Purpose has also deepened my own understanding of the Gospel. Before serving, I knew the Gospel and could explain it, but my faith was more surface-level. Sharing the Gospel with others has taught me that it is not just a message I am called to know, but a truth I am called to live out and share. Through these experiences, my faith has become personal and deeply rooted in who Jesus is. I now realize that through serving, God is inviting me into a deeper relationship with Him.

I have also seen the incredible impact Gospel Trek teams can have on a community in a short amount of time. Small acts of service, conversations, prayers, or simply showing someone the love of Christ can have an impact far beyond what we see in the moment. Through serving in Hildale, I have learned that a Gospel Trek is not about coming into a community and changing it ourselves, but about allowing God to use us as we faithfully say “yes” to Him.

My life is forever changed by what the Lord is doing in Hildale, Utah.
